    Duncan Guertin's Memorial Service

    Please help us remember our cherished colleague and friend, Duncan Guertin.

    In memory of Duncan Guertin, for his generous contributions to our students and his positive impact on every life he touched, EMI has established The Guertin Memorial Scholarship Fund.

    This scholarship will be for Multiple Streams Protégé tuition and EMI will grant two scholarships at each Wealth Retreat. This scholarship was a very important cause that Duncan Guertin and his wife and team-teacher, Karen Nelson Bell, championed since their introduction to EMI. Starting as a Protégé himself, Duncan valued the education he received tremendously and wished to share the same opportunity with others, especially those who might not be in a position to pay tuition just yet. His mission was to share the path to success that he enjoyed with others—and we plan to fulfill that for him now.

    Scholarship recipients will be chosen exclusively from Protégé nominations. Nominations will be reviewed and recipients chosen by Karen Nelson Bell.

    To nominate a deserving student for this scholarship, please write a letter to Karen Nelson Bell and include the name, address, phone number of your nominated student, plus why you think he or she is deserving of the scholarship and how they will work to carry on Duncan’s efforts.

    Please share as many details as possible about your nominated student so that Karen can make an informed decision. Please send application letters to EMI headquarters:

    Memorial Teleclass Forum for Duncan Guertin

    EMI will also be hosting a special teleclass as a Memorial Forum in Duncan's honor, on Tuesday, November 29th at 6 - 7 p.m. Pacific

    Please join us to share positive stories and memories of Duncan. We want Karen to know just how many lives Duncan positively affected. This teleclass will be recorded and given to his family as a lasting memento of how far-reaching Duncan’s efforts have been.

    As an additional gift to his family, a scrapbook of Duncan’s life is being created to commemorate his life and contributions. Please send any comments, tributes or inspirational stories of how Duncan touched your life to dg@emitraining.com so we can include your comments in this special commemoration to him. We thank you in advance for your contributions to remembering one of our fine instructors and friends.

    Duncan truly embodied the EMI spirit of enlightenment, working his way up from the bottom and gaining success through hard work and by giving back to others. He taught several classes for EMI and found such joy in helping others obtain the success they desired. He was an inspiration to each of us, both in spirit and character. At his memorial service this past weekend, many of Duncan’s friends and family gathered to pay homage to a life spent devoted to others and the pursuit of honorable goals. Bagpipes were played in celebration of his life and in honor of his namesake Scottish heritage, which he treasured.

    Duncan spread his love for others through his good works, both personally and through his own company, making a huge impact on many lives. And, we will continue to share his passion for living and learning with others, through The Guertin Memorial Scholarship Fund.
